Abu Salama `Abd Allah ibn `Abd al-Asad (Arabic: أبو سلمة عبد الله بن عبد الأسد) was one of the companions of Muhammad.

He was married to Umm Salama Hind bint Abi Umayya, and they were among the first who converted to Islam.
They had four children: Salama, Umar, Zaynab, and Durra.
He died from a wound he sustained during the Battle of Uhud that reopened after he had led the Expedition of Qatan.
After his death, Muhammad married his widow, Umm Salama.
